I’m Sophie, your local makeup artist.

You’re at your most beautiful when you feel confident - so that’s exactly what I’m here for.
I combine my years of makeup artistry, airbrushing expertise, and a creative eye to highlight what’s already uniquely you, so you feel comfortable, radiant, and unapologetically yourself.

I care deeply about people, animals, and our planet, so my kit is cruelty-free, low-waste, and on its way to being fully sustainable and kind to your skin. I’m also a big believer in shopping local, so if you ever want a product recommendation, I’ve got plenty up my sleeve.

My path to makeup wasn’t a straight line - I went from brokering finance to photo retouching before finally studying makeup artistry at Samala Robinson Academy in Auckland, graduating top of my class in 2011.

I cut my teeth in the film and fashion industries while raising my first child, then moved to Tauranga in 2015 where I fell in love with airbrush makeup and discovered my true happy place in weddings.

Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to:

Teach makeup artistry and skincare at a tertiary level
Speak at industry events, appear on One News, and feature in The Listener discussing sustainability in the cosmetics space
Launch an award-winning podcast about the New Zealand makeup industry
And, most importantly, meet and create looks for hundreds of incredible women

Outside the makeup chair, I’m a mama to two awesome kids (and two equally rad tomcats) and, let's just say, a professional creative... if it tells a story, I’ve probably dabbled in it.
